How will the Wisdom Cup tournament take place?

Introduction to the Tournament Format

• It will be a football tournament with 8 clubs in the form of a championship.

• This format is appreciated for its simplicity and fairness, as each team can compete against each other.

• This system makes it possible to determine the best-performing club in the tournament after a certain number of matches have been played.

• Each club plays one match against the other seven in a championship of eight teams. This means that each team will play a total of seven matches.

• According to the points system applied; a win earns 3 points, a draw 1 point and a defeat no points. Clubs accumulate points throughout the competition to have their total points.

• The final ranking is established according to the total points. In the event of a tie on points between two or more clubs, different criteria will be used:

1) Goal difference, to separate the teams

2) The team that scored the most goals

3) The most fair-play team (the team that has the fewest red cards, then the fewest yellow cards)

4) between the tied teams, the team that beat the other in its championship match will be crowned

5) the team that has played the most players from its academy during the tournament

• At the end of the last day of competition, the club with the most points will be crowned champion and will receive a trophy.

• This format creates an exciting dynamic, where each match has its importance and can influence the final ranking.

• The championship format is also favourable to the development of team spirit and the strengthening of competitiveness between clubs.
